15 years of getting it right

Flush & Flow is a family owned and operated Christchurch plumbing and gas business, run by the person who turns up to the job. Certifying, PGDB registered, and straight with you about what needs doing and what it'll cost.

Who you're dealing with

Flush & Flow Plumbing & Gas is a family owned and operated business, run by Jorden Clark, a certifying plumber and gasfitter with over 15 years of hands-on experience across Christchurch homes and properties. We're based at Wilsons Road South in St Martins, and we work right across the city — from the hill suburbs through the central belt and out to Rolleston.

The business is family owned and deliberately small. That means when you ring, you get someone who knows the job, and when we quote a price, that's the price. Our team can look after work of most sizes, from a dripping tap through to a full gas conversion, and the site gets left as clean as we found it.

What "certifying" means, and why it matters

All plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying work in New Zealand is regulated by the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board. Most plumbing and drainlaying work — and all gasfitting work — has to be carried out by someone registered with the Board.

A certifying tradesperson sits at the top of that structure: authorised to work unsupervised and to certify their own work. For you, it means the person who does the job also signs it off, so there's no waiting on a third party for paperwork and no gaps in who's responsible for what.

Using an unlicensed tradesperson means the work is being done unlawfully, and it can leave you with no insurance cover, no legal protection, and no assurance the job was done safely. We'd encourage you to check anyone you hire on the PGDB public register — including us.

The 2-year workmanship guarantee

Every job we carry out is guaranteed for two years. Not two years with conditions, exclusions and a form to fill in — two years, and if something we did isn't right, we come back and sort it. It's the simplest way we know of saying we stand behind the work.

How we work

  • Free quotes, and the quote is the price. No surprises added at the end.
  • Published rates. Our full rate card is on the site — standard, after-hours and public holiday. Very few trades do this. We'd rather you knew going in.
  • We answer the phone. Including at night. One of our Google reviews is from a household who rang five gasfitters about a weekend gas leak and got exactly one call back.
  • Clean site. Drop sheets down, mess taken away, the place left the way we found it.
  • Straight advice. Including when the honest answer is that a repair isn't worth doing, or that the problem isn't ours to fix.

What we're known for

Gas, mostly. If you look at what customers actually mention in our reviews, the words that come up again and again are gas hob repairs, gas hot water conversions and gas fitting. That's the work we do most of and the work people come back for — though the general plumbing, drains and hot water side is just as much a part of the day.

We're rated 5.0 on Google from over 100 reviews, and 5.0 on Builderscrack, and we'd rather you read those than take our word for any of this.

Trade suppliers

We buy through Mico and Plumbing World, which means genuine parts, manufacturer warranties that actually stand up, and one point of contact if something needs to go back.

What does PGDB registration actually mean for my job?

Yes. Flush & Flow is fully licensed and registered with the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board, New Zealand's regulator for the plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying trades.
